  • Freecycle
    http://www.freecycle.org/group/UK

It's really easy to use Freecycle and it is amazingly quick and effective. Things you would never dream you could either get or find homes for change hands effortlessly thanks to Freecycle. For example, 3 crates of Startrek videos. Think that even charity shops won't take videos? Maybe-- but 15 people replied to our Startrek videos listing! We rescued them from landfill at the dump, and freecycled them.
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere to the communications on freecycle. That's because it's a great experience--it helps you, helps others, and helps the environment!
